Frosty has pioneered a new era of DJ culture called 'open format' combining multiple genres of music with elements of turntablism and original music.  When Silk City re-opened in June 2007, 'Frosty Fridays' helped establish the 'best djs in Philly' reputation with a 4 year long residency.  And since 2005, the young DJ maintained a steady Wednesday and Saturday weekly at North Bowl in NoLibs (Philly) that is going strong in 2013.  Frosty's heavy percussive sound points to his roots as a drummer and percussionist, playing with legendary Ornette Coleman/Lounge Lizard drummer G. Calvin Weston in his band Big Tree, from 2001-2005.  Frosty incorporates the teachings of Master Drummer Edo Kuchiator from a 4 month trip to Ghana in 2008, and co-forming Philadelphia's only Ewe/Afro Cuban drum ensemble 'Leana Song'.  

All of these elements, combined with over 10 years professional experience, add to the one they call DJ Frosty.

In the past few years, Frosty has been producing, remixing and writing exclusive material for his live DJ sets in his basement studio under 'Garden Variety'.  Like any DJ from the days of vinyl , Frosty is known as a 'crate digger', and currently sells his rare records online.
